Actor-filmmaker Anil Kapoor says he exercises six days a week and recalls the time when he travelled to the location shooting of his 2005 film “My Wife’s Murder” on his bicycle.
The 58-year-old was here along with Vijay Sampla, union minister of state for social justice and empowerment, to inaugurate the International Bicycle and Fitness Expo (IBFE) organised at Pragati Maidan Thursday.
Anil, who apparently spends more time cycling than travelling in his car, elaborated on his passion for cycling and fitness.
“I exercise six days a week and whatever I eat or put inside my system, I try to take it out through exercise.
“I have always been passionate about cycling. I have been cycling since my childhood. A cycle not only gets you from one place to another, but it also helps to maintain the fitness level. Since the past eight or nine years, I have been cycling to keep myself fit. Even though I own big cars, I spend more time cycling than I spend in my car,” Anil told reporters.
Speaking about his role as a lower middle class husband in “My Wife’s Murder”, Anil said he cycled his way to the shooting so that he can remain in his character.
“I played a lower middle class person in the film. So I thought ‘if I go to the shooting in a luxury car, I will not be in my character’. So, I used to travel to the shooting on my bicycle,” he said.
